Design Specialist, Campus Planning

University of North Texas Facilities | Feb 2023 - Present

​

Work with a team of project managers to complete renovations and projects across the University of North Texas Campus. This includes projects as small as furniture purchasing and moving departments, to total renovation and repurposing of spaces.

Design Assistant, Campus Planning

University of North Texas Facilities | Aug 2021 - Feb 2023

• Analyzed spatial relationships to develop space plans and assist design development for Chilton 111, Wilson Jones Career Center, three new classrooms at Discovery Park, and various classroom ideations.

• Developed and produced CDs for Matthews Hall corridors Renovation and 3 new 80-person classrooms at Discovery Park.

• Partnered with DSI - Tech through cross-departmental collaboration on multiple classroom projects and the continuing development of Classroom Standards.

• Coordinated and oversaw the move of the TNT department from Curry Hall to Hickory Hall

• Provided design assistance and organizational documentation to the Estimating team for the Green Bridge move from Hickory Hall to Oak Street Annex.

• Provided assistance and direction on installations of classroom furniture, office furniture, and Discovery Park Corridor furniture.

• Researched, analyzed, and selected new ADA furniture solutions with the partnership of the Office of Disability Access at UNT.

• Managed a team of Design Assistants in building and occupant assessments

• Increased compliance with University controls concerning P-Cards through detailed reviews of purchases, and interviews with P-card holders.

• Partnered with the Office of Finance at UNT Systems to review and collect data on P-card usage.

• Adapted and developed a strategy for P-card review to create a more efficient and thorough system of review.

• Assisted in the development of the Purchasing Card Program documentation for P-card users across UNT.

• Lead a team of 12 UNT students through reviewing P-card usage as a part of their auditing class

• Assisted in the construction, painting, furniture, finish, and material selection, and accounting with a team of 4 on several projects including a garage renovation into a spare room and several complete bathrooms makeovers
